Wallowas Eagle Cap - eastern OR

6/12-6/13/21

We backpacked up to Aneroid lake which turned out to be 6.8mi one way and 2860’ elevation gain according to my gaia recording. There were some snow patches and down trees adding to our time but it was beautiful and easily passable. We had multiple people tell us 4’ deep snow and postholing above knees which we didn’t feel was the case or it was relatively easy at this time to walk around. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. Really beautiful weekend/ hike. Zax loved it and will sleep well tonight r
