Central OR Camping weekend

5/8-5/9/21

We went out with plans of camping and paddling Waldo lake but ran into snow and had to reroute our plans. We found a spot in the woods that we drove the Jeep into and spent the night walking the woods and having velveeta and drinks around the fire, a true central Oregon experience. We woke up and went out to Wicklup reservoir and paddled around there. We headed back and stopped at a winery right past smith rock. We tried to visit the alpacas but hit them right at closing time which was fun because we got to see them run. We decided to not drive all the way back and spent the night at white river snow park by mt hood after making a quick detour to little crater lake.
